Product development at Vicimus

Shared foundations. Individual identities.
01 / The work
Build the block.
Think beyond
one page.
Glovebox is a content management system for automotive dealerships. It brings website content, branding, and inventory together in one platform.
My contribution centres on the pieces that make up those websites: reusable page blocks, Laravel / Blade templates, and the responsive front-end behaviour around them.
That work includes headers, galleries, FAQs, reviews, and listing components. Each piece has to fit into a larger page while accommodating different dealer content and branding.
Glovebox is a Vicimus product developed by a team. The public websites shown here provide context for my component and template work.
A page, built from reusable pieces
02 / The challenge
Make it reusable.
Keep it flexible.
A component can look right on one page and still be too rigid for the next. Different navigation lengths, image shapes, content, and screen sizes all affect the layout.
Structure in the template
Laravel and Blade provide the markup for reusable CMS blocks, with content and layout working together.
Room for the brand
Shared components support dealer-specific colours, images, navigation, and content.
Details across screen sizes
Responsive HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript handle how those components present and behave on smaller screens.
03 / In context
One platform.
Different personalities.

04 / From template to screen
The details
travel with it.
The mobile view shows the same site in a different arrangement: a compact header, prominent contact information, and inventory actions stacked for a narrow screen.
This is the kind of front-end work I enjoy: building a useful piece, then working through the details that let it fit into the wider system.
